FAQs For Air Cooling Welding Machine

1. What materials can ZG’s laser welding machine weld?

Our laser welding machines can weld a wide range of materials, including stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, and some high-strength alloys. However, materials with extremely high reflectivity may require special handling. Please contact us if you have special needs.

The maximum thickness of the material that can be welded depends on the power of the laser and the type of material. For example, for thin-walled stainless steel tubes, a lower- power laser may be sufficient, while thicker aluminum plates may require a high-power laser system. Generally, it can handle materials ranging from a few tenths of a millimeter to several millimeters in thickness. Contact us for specific recommendations based on your needs.

The laser welding process offers high accuracy, with welds typically having a very small tolerance. In most cases, the precision can reach within ±0.05mm, allowing for the creation of high – quality, reliable joints, especially important for precision – engineered products.

Our laser welding machines are designed with user-friendly interfaces. While some basic training is required, operators can quickly learn to program and operate the machines. Additionally, for the full – automatic models, once the parameters are set, the machine can run with minimal supervision, and the robotic models offer intuitive control systems for easy manipulation.

Regular maintenance is necessary to ensure the optimal performance of the laser welding machine. This includes periodic cleaning of the optical components to maintain laser beam quality, checking and calibrating the welding parameters, and maintaining the cooling system to prevent overheating. Depending on the usage frequency, a comprehensive maintenance check is recommended every 3 – 6 months.
